I have a nice laptop display that came from a laptop that didnt work so i have checked to see if the display works and it does but im loooking to see if i can somehow rewire the laptop display so that i can plug it into the monitor out from my video card.

I don't know if all laptop monitors pinouts are the same or what brand/model your broke laptop is. Here is the pinout for the common vga output. So yes, it's possible to do it. You would have to buy a vga pinout adapter, something to mount that adapter to your monitor, "monitor stand". As long as you plug the wires from the monitor into the right pinout connections it should work.
