Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Maximize window to subset of monitors

First of all, kudos to UltraMon team for making such a great piece of software. It makes working with our dual and triple monitor systems much easier. There is one thing that nags me, though.
On my triple monitor system (all 20" portrait LCDs), I sometimes need to view a window maximized to just two monitors. Examples: Firefox DOM inspector (tree on left and properties on right), split diff windows (original on left, new version on right), text documents with two pages up at the same time. Unfortunately, UltraMon maximize to desktop button is useless for this purpose, as it maximizes a window to all three screens, making both halves of the window split across monitor boundaries. It would be nice if this button could have an additional "maximize to some monitors" mode.
Shift-clicking the button, holding it for half a second, or some other way of activation could pop up a small window (similar to Move To Monitor one), but with a twist - the user can drag a rectangle over the monitor thumbnail(s), and the window would be maximized only to affected monitors. You could also attach this function to existing Move to Monitor button (and rename it Move to Monitor(s) ;))
I would be grateful if you could provide such a feature, or some other nice way to maximize a window to a subset of monitors. Scripting could be an answer, but with 3x1 matrix there are two ways of partial maximization, and from what I understand, a regular script would be unable to discern the one that user wants.

Thanks for the suggestion, will be considered for UltraMon 3.

You could do this with the Maximize2Mon script, but this will always maximize to the specified monitors.
