Hi what i have right know is two video cards and i want to set up three monitors and i seen a moniotr splitter and i wanted to know if that would work or how does something like that work?

TripleHead2Go or Parhelia(made by Matrox), are both the "Single Card Triple Monitor" solutions.

A splitter would merely clone one image to 2 displays something similar to wholesale stores and BestBuy displaying multiple monitor screens of the same desktop.

"i got one card not two, the card has 2 slots". Now, what does that mean? Cards don't have slots, they have ports.

You can get a card for a PCI slot to support additional monitor(s).
