Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Visual Studio moves to the wrong taskbar

I am latest ultramon (2.7.1) with the 'Smart Taskbar' enabled on 'Standard Mode' (each taskbar only shows tasks from the monitor it is on). When I run visual studio (2003) and it works fine, however every now and then the 'task in the taskbar' switches across to the wrong taskbar. The only way i can get it back is to unmaximise studio drag it to the other screen, then back, then remaximise (the drag when maximised doesn't seem to work on studio).

This gets very annoying, as I have many programs running, and I like to be able to switch between them using the icons on the taskbar, but then they move...

The problem is probably to do with studios wierd hidden (or ghost) window - not too sure how to describe it. It has a window that is not supposed to be visible, and it seems to sit half on 1 screen half on the other and only appears sometimes (well the border appears, there is nothing in it).

Is there any way to stop the icon from jumping across to the wrong screen?

Thanks,
Lio.

I have the exact same problem when using Visual Studio 2003, and the "ghost" screen you describe. I agree its very frustrating. Hopefully this is something that can be addressed.

Did you notice what causes the ghost window to appear?

I've been trying to watch when it happens, but I haven't been able to pinpoint any exact moments yet. When I'm waiting for it, it doesn't happen.

If you find out anything else, let me know and I'll look into it.

I'm not sure though if a fix would be possible, UltraMon may not be able to tell if the movement of the window should be ignored or not.
