Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to run the Ultramon Taskbar without Explorer. Whenever I terminate explorer, Ultramon continues to run, but the Ultramon Taskbar disappears. Is the Ultramon Taskbar dependent on Windows Explorer, or is there a trick that I haven't caught on to?
Thanks for your great products, I can't wait to buy v3.0!

Actually, please allow me to clarify. If I run Explorer, then Ultramon Taskbar, then terminate Explorer, Ultramon Taskbar remains running.
However, if I terminate Explorer, then run Ultramon Taskbar, the process begins and abruptly terminates on its own, without even drawing anything on screen.
I can supply "Process Monitor" logs if you wish. I really hope there is a simple solution to this.

The Smart Taskbar won't work without the Windows taskbar, for example if the Windows taskbar is no longer running no tasks will be added or removed from the taskbars.
Would you want to do this in order to use a custom shell together with UltraMon?

Yep, you hit the nail right on the head. I'm trying to use Ultramon Taskbar in conjunction with Blackbox . Thanks anyway, i'm still going to buy v3.0 :p

I'm not familiar with Blackbox, but in order to work with UltraMon the shell would need to provide a taskbar or something similar which works like the Windows taskbar.
UltraMon isn't explicitly looking for explorer.exe, and will work with shells which simulate a Windows taskbar, for example Aston Shell.
