Hi,
I have downloaded the latest Catalyst suite 9611) but I can't install it. It asks for the install of a .NET Framework version 2.0. What is that?

The .NET framework is the framework upon which Microsoft believes development should be done these days. Think of it as an evolution of the old VBRUN DLL's. Goto download.microsoft.com and search for 'dotnetfx.exe'.

Well, the funny thing is that the catalyst install stops and asks one to download this file and install it befor it can continue. They even provide the link. I did download it, installed it and restarted the catalyst install. It stops at the same point and asks again to install .NET because it can't find it. I'm running in circles.
I submitted a ticket to ATI and they send me a list of things to do and if nothing works, I should enter the text of the error message into a new ticket, which I did. As a result, they send me the exact same message as before. Running in circles too!

I found an older (3.8) catalyst version that installed perfectly fine.
