Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Lock application to always display on particular monitor?

I'm doing a proof of concept for a business application and for user friendly functionality am looking for a multi-monitor manager application that will enable me to "lock" the display of an application to a particular monitor. For example, let's say I want to open notepad on the secondary monitor and ONLY on the second monitor. Is this possible with UltraMon?

Many thanks in advance and I must say this application already far outstrips other apps I have evaulated thus far.

You could configure custom position settings for the Notepad shortcut via UltraMon, but if Notepad doesn't get launched via the customized shortcut UltraMon won't position it.

Please also note that the application may still open on another monitor, UltraMon can only move it after its main window has been created.

Thanks for the reply. COuld you outline how I would do this "custom shortcut" via UltraMon?

Thanks!

To configure custom position settings, right-click the application's shortcut, select Properties from the menu, then select the UltraMon - Window tab and configure the settings as desired.

How can it be defined which monitor the app opens on when it's launched via a filetype association rather than the custom shortcut?

Is this possible?

UltraMon currently doesn't support this, ZMover might help.
