Hi, I installed ultramon to try it out and found the move maximized window option enabled by default. I didn't like this option because it meant windows didn't get maximized to their full size and left an annoying line at the bottom. I tried to disable this option, but when I did the window still didn't open fully, and still had a line at the bottom. I hasve now tried uninstalling, restarting and modifying every setting I can think of and there is no way to get rid of this problem! Can someone please help me get back to having windows maximize properly. thanks

Might have been a conflict with some other application, for example a video card utility like the nView Desktop Manager, ATI HydraVision or Matrox PowerDesk.
Unfortunately I don't know why you would still have this problem after uninstalling UltraMon, UltraMon doesn't make any changes to system settings or settings for other applications.

Does it not change some registry key or something which may have been confused and so wont turn back? What does ultramon do to move maximized windows?

Hi, I realised it's not ultramon doing it (sorry) its nview. With it disabled the problems gone. I can't figure which setting is mucked up though. I thought maybe window snapping, setting that to 5 and then back to disabled just seems to make windows currently open maximize problem but any future ones don't. Possibly this setting has changed something that wont go back. Anyone know anything about nView and what i need to do?
