trying to figure this dual monitor stuff out.
I just installed a Radeon 7000, 64 mb ddr, PCI card. 2nd monitor works, but is slow when i drag a new application or screen to it.
Do I just get a new dual VGA card and switch it with my current card (and take back the Radeon 7000)?
Do i need more memory in the video card?
do i need more meory in my computer (currently 256 mb RAM) running Pentium 4?
I don't play games, just want to have multiple windows open.
Thank you very much.

oops , also
if i get a new dual video card, my current video card is AGP 4x, can the new one be AGP 8x or higher, or do i have to stick with 4x?
thanks again

Make sure you update all your video drivers, for both of your cards. The second monitor shouldn't be slow.

If you do go with a new AGP card with dual outputs, you can probably use any AGP card, unless your motherboard is really old.

If you are using Windows XP, then 256.Meg ram is definitely too little for normal use, but 512.Meg should be sufficient to get by if you don't use any memory-hungry apps. That's what I run at home, though I have a Gig at work, since 512.Meg wouldn't be sufficient for what I do on my work PC.
