Well .. I couldn't stand it - I had to add ONE MORE monitor (total of 3)!
Why is it that I can't play a video (mpg, avi, etc) on either of the monitors (2 & 3)?
Most of the time, if I attempt to play one, I will either lock up .. or you can hear sound but the video window is black.
Please advise - THANKS! Greg

Sounds like a problem with the video card drivers. What cards are you using?

My primary card is a Matrox Mistique 220 (PCI), #2 is and AOpen 6326 AGP and #3 is and Acer brand using S3 ViRGE-DX/GX PCI (375/385).

Have you tried with Windows Media Player? It has the best multi-monitor support.
If it still doesn't work, here are some things you could try:
- make sure you have the latest drivers for the secondary cards
- reduce hardware acceleration: to do this, open Display Properties, double-click a monitor and adjust the hardware acceleration on the Troubleshooting tab
