I have a Gigabyte 845gvm-rz motherboard. I am trying to install ATI Rage LT Pro 8M for extended desktop in XPP. When I install drivers for ATI and restart the system, the system hangs on XP booting screen. There is no display in both the monitors.
I have also tried to change the "First display option" to PCI and Onboard in BIOS.
Next when I boot XP in safe mode and disable or uninstall drivers of onboard vga (Intel Extreme graphics for 845)and then restart, I am able to boot in XP.
Can any one let me know what could be the problem of onboard video getting disabled as soon as another VGA card is in the system.
