Just switched from Geforce2 AGP and and old Ati Rage Pro (PCI) to a G450 dual head (I needed the Geforce somewhere else and figured the matrox 2D image quality would be better). With the matrox, system locks up at random. No keyboard or mouse response - forcing reboot with the power switch. It sort of feels like a heat problem (and matrox talk a lot about keeping the pci slot under the agp free - it is) but I don't know.

IBM ata66 40Gb D drive (master on IDE channel 1) (fan cooled)
Plextor CDRW (master on IDE channel 2)
generic firewire card (TI chip)
generic fast ethernet card (realtek chip)
soundblaster live
400 watt power supply
Win98se
I've not checked the IRQs (and if theres a conflict how do I resolve it)
