I'm running XP SP2, with ATI X850, 2gb RAM, SATA2 HD. I have a viewsonic VA903b and a VA912. When using ultra mon, applications hang. Applications won't start, the system tray icon for ultramon disappears when changing ultramon options and won't restart (have to reboot to get it to work again), 2nd screen sometimes goes blank, my PC blue screened once when changing various Ultramon options, (never happens otherwise), PC spontaneously reboots and so on. I've upgraded video drivers (was pretty much on latest anyway), installed latest directx, reinstalled XP for a fresh start, tried various screen resolutions, but nothing stabilises this probuct. Any suggestions?

Some things you could try:
- if you have ATI Hydravision or a similar application enabled, try if disabling it fixes the problem
- uninstall UltraMon's mirroring feature, maybe there's a conflict with the display driver. To do this, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon from the list, click on Change, then deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen
