Hi all
I have just purchased a new x1600pro PCI-E to connect up a third LCD. My windows detect both cards easy enough, however I am unable to get both to work together. when I enter windows display settings, an error will appear saying 'invalid display setting' the screen resolution will be -1 x -1 pixel, 4-bit resolution.
Below are my config AMD X2 3800+ DFI Venus Asus 8800GTX Powercolor x1600pro

I would assume because they use different drivers, that is the cause to your errors. I would recommend getting another 8800, since those cards use their own driver set, opposed to all other geforce cards.

8800 gtx has its own drivers like the above poster said. Its the same reason why I can't use my 8800 gtx(sli or no) and my 5200. Even if they are both nvidia and use forceware, no luck.

I have an Nvidia 8800 GTS as well that I am running perfectly with a 6200TC. All I had to do was load the drivers for the 6200 first and then reload the drivers for the 8800. Both work just fine - no problems, and are fully functional.
LemonT, you shouldn't need to spend all the extra $$$ on a second 8800. Just get a cheaper Nvidia based Geforce card and all should be fine.

so both Nvidia cards work, but Nvidia/ATI don't?
