I installed Norton Antivirus (NAV) 2006 on my WinXP Pro system a couple weeks ago and ever since then the ultramon taskbar on the secondary monitor disappears after awhile. When I restart ultramon the second taskbar comes back.
I have a feeling that NAV is killing the ultramon application for some reason.

Do you get an error message when this happens?

nope. The system keeps chugging along fine, no message boxes/alerts that I can find, it's just that the secondary monitor's taskbar is gone.

One thing you could check: if you open Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DEL), is UltraMonTaskbar.exe still listed on the Processes tab after the UltraMon taskbar has disappeared?

There are no UltraMon process in the task list when the taskbar disappears.

I would recommend testing if the problem goes away if you disable NAV, looks like this isn't an UltraMon issue.

That's my next step. Ultramon beens working fine for years on this system until I installed NAV so it prety much points to NAV.
I was thinking Norton may have it included it in their virus definitions.
