After having had problems with two DVI Monitors on a Asus V9180 I have now installed a XFX 7600GT 580 AGP8X. The problem has only shifted itself : in Dual DVI 1024*768 it works fine but at Dual DVI 1280*1024 both screens are distorted with blue and red lines. In Analog (D-sub) mode all works fine. Anybody has a helpful idea ? The XFX support couldn't help me much.

I have the same card and I run both DVI's and I have no problems at all.

Solved the problem. I had the Philips 190C7 monitors connected with DVI-I Dual Link cables. When I substituted them with DVI-D Single Link cables all problems vanished. It is generally assumed that DVI-I Dual Link cables are universal but as this incident shows this is not always true. DVI-D Single Link supports resolutions up to 1280*1024 and prevents monitor ID confusion by the VGA card.
