Can anyone explain why Ultramon won't install on this PC? I have sent bthe log below to their web site but have not heard back from anyone.

Thanks for the log.
The problem is that the shared documents folder doesn't exist and couldn't be created. This folder is usually at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents.
I would recommend installing version 2.7.1, this version doesn't require that the shared documents folder is present.

The folder does in fact exist. Any idea of why the application can't write to it? Is it possible to modify this version to not look for that folder or is going to ver. 2.7.1 the only option?

It would be possible to create a Windows Installer transform which prevents setup from failing if the location of the folder can't be retrieved.
I'm not sure though if that won't cause problems later on in the setup.

Yes, please try to create the transform. I verified that 2.7.1 will work on the box, but of course my current key does not work for that version. I have two other boxes with the same problem using 2.6.

Your existing registration code should work fine with 2.7.1, this is a free upgrade for all existing customers. Make sure both the name and code have been entered correctly.
Let me know if you would prefer to use 2.6 with the transform.

We would really like to use 2.6 if you can manage a transform. If not, we will look into doing the upgrade to 2.7.1 on everyone to maintain uniformity.
