Hi I have got a 2nd monitor attached to the left of my laptop but everytime I start my laptop the monitor is positioned to the right on my laptop in the default position. I have tried uninstalling my intel graphics drivers and installing again but that didn't do anything.
Any idea's of what I can try, really annoying me

I get the same problem under Vista. I have to switch the monitors each time. I am using a Radeon x300 64MB video adapter on a Dell D610.

I'm having the same problem with a Thinkpad T60 and an ATI Radeon X1400 on Vista Home Premium. It just started recently. I don't know what's different.

Thanks for the link Christian. Disabling Ati External Event fixed the problem for me.
