Hey guys, i have been using the a trial version of the older ultramon, it works great, however the new beta version lacks the functionality =(

And i hope my command could bring back some of the support. This is the situation, with the old(er) ultramon i could create 2 taskbars. This is my setup:

On monitor 1: Standard windows taskbar, autohidden
On monitor 1: Ultramon taskbar
On monitor 2: Ultramon taskbar

Now with the new ultramon, i can only have a taskbar for my seccond monitor without a extra taskbar for my first...

And also eruhmm the taskbars "inherits" the on-auto hide from the windows taskbar. C'mon at least give users a option to reset that kind of stuff =(

Please i beg you, re-add the old taskbar functionality, to add a taskbar for all monitors you wish, and make it that this time it does only allow you to inherit it's option form the windows taskbar.

Ow and p.s. i noticed with my "aplha transparent" screensaver, when i run a `topmost` window that is overlayed over all the screens.. that the taskbar is gone all of the sudden.

And this happens because the taskbar had the option `topmost` also on. Whenever i put that on off the taskbar stays.

So i think that's a small bug i found =)

Thanks for the feedback.

Currently I have no plans to add support for having an UltraMon taskbar on the same monitor as the main taskbar.

Did you do this to get more room for toolbars on the main taskbar?

I'm going to look at the autohide issue again, but haven't made a decision yet.

Do you have a download link for the screen saver you're using?

Dear chris,

To awnser your question to: "Did you do this to get more room for toolbars on the main taskbar?"

Yes, i do. Under normal workflow my system-tray is heavy loaded with applications. So i use UM taskbars as for application switching. And i use my `auto-hidden` windows taskbar for systemtray, desktop toolbars like windows media player.

About the screensaver, after installing the latest non-beta version of UM (2.7 if i am correct) it works like a charm now. So i guess that is a fix.

If you still like i could upload the screensaver somewhere, might come in handy for further releases. It requires .NET tho for the time beeing.

Here's the download link for the screensaver: http://rapidshare.com/files/32275210/Screensaver-beta.rar.html

Note that screensaver hooks a keyboard hook and disables [windows key], [alt] [tab]. [alt] [f4] ect combinations.

To exit the screensaver: double click or close it via ctrl + del + alt

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue with the screen saver, both the UltraMon taskbars and the main taskbar stayed visible when the screen saver started.

Testing was done on Windows Vista. If you are using a different version of Windows, or if there's anything special I need to do to reproduce the issue, let me know.

One thing I noticed is that you'll need to run the screen saver directly, and not via UltraMon, otherwise you'll only see a light gray desktop instead of the regular desktop (this is due to the black background added by the UltraMon screen saver).

As a workaround for the toolbar issue, I would recommend a double-height main taskbar, or moving the toolbars off the taskbar and docking them on another screen edge.
