I have an old NetVista 8303-VLU with an integrated Intel 845G VGA port. Today I added an ATI Radeon 7500 32MB AGP4x and I can't get both of them to work together.
I thought I can use AGP + onboard at the same time to drive 2 monitors? Then I remembered the 7500 was capable of driving dual monitors. (But it came only with 1 VGA port).
Did I get short changed? Am I doing things right? Or do I need another video card (PCI). I use XP. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the motherboard, but frequently this won't work.
Does the ATI card have a DVI port (white) as well? If yes, you can use a DVI-to-VGA adapter to connect a second analog monitor.

I'm figuring out that with AGP + on board video, it's either or, not both. My ATI came with one VGA and one S-video; no DVI. I guess I'm out of luck. Thanks for your help, Christian
