Hello!
I have a Samsung 20" Widescreen LCD (http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/LCD_Digital/LS20HAWCB7XAA.asp) and a BFG 6800 GT graphics card (http://www2.bfgtech.com/bfgr68256uocx.aspx). My father's friend is a stock trader and uses 8-monitor set ups. He made the switch to LCDs recently and brought over some CRTs for me to use (http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/crt-monitor/nec-multisync-e950/). At the moment, I only want to use one CRT along with my LCD. My graphics card has one DVI port and one VGA port. So the CRT is plugged into the VGA port and powered on. The power light is green signifying there is a signal going to the monitor, yet it is completely blank. I swapped a few different CRTs (they're all the same model) and I found one that partially worked. I could see my desktop and all, but everything was tinted yellow. I connected the monitors to an old Windows 2000 machine he also gave me, through a four-way splitter that I'm not entirely sure about and they all work perfectly. This is very perplexing, and I was wondering if the experts on this forum have any ideas.
I think that the monitors were meant to be Plug & Play compatible with Windows 98/2000, and of course, there are no NEC drivers for Windows XP.

you have it set to extend your windows desktop onto that monitor, right?

Make sure you are using a display setting that is compatible with the monitor. Start with something simple, like 800x600 @ 60.hz, then move up from there as desired. Also, check the specs for the monitor to see what res and refresh it can handle, and what res and refresh is recommended.
