if i get triplehead2go will i be able to maximise different windows on each screen like a normal dual monitor setup? thanks.

No, because the computer does not see multiple monitors, just one huge one.
But ultramon has a script that splits the screen up into smaller sections. I have 3 19" units, so I have the script make 3 1280*1024 virtual screens for me. Then it all works out nice.

Actually yes, it is possible. Just install the software that is included.

Anla-shok, what are you talking about? By default windows ONLY supports maximizing on a per screen basis. You need outside programs like ultramon to span monitors with a single click.

or "tools" like:

Josh: Not in Span mode. That only applies to Extended Desktop mode. In Span mode, the Windows default is to maximize across the spanned monitor set (because Windows thinks the spanned set is just one monitor).

As others have indicated, there are utilities to get around this Span limitation, including the utilities included with the 2go adapters.

With the video adapters can you make the 3 virtual monitors display different fullscreen video?
