Hi there
I know that this is a minor thing however I was wondering if there is an option to give the smart taskbar on my secondary monitor the same Aero glass transparency that my task bar has on my primary monitor?
If not it may be something worth considering for implementation (if possible) in a later beta of version 3.

Which version of UltraMon are you using? Support for this was added in the first 3.0 beta.

I'm on 3.0 beta 1 (x64) at the moment and have got the Smart taskbar to just list the programmes running on that particular monitor.
If I've maximised a window on the Primary monitor then the transparency on the taskbar (set to auto hide normally) is gone. When a window is no longer maximised the transparency returns.
I guess what I'm looking to see is the colour of the smart taskbar change in accordance with the colour of aero effect I've selected as well as the actual transparency of the taskbar when windows on the secondary monitor aren't maximised.

I can't reproduce this issue, for me the UltraMon taskbar always uses the same transparency setting as the main taskbar.
Testing was done on 64-bit Vista. If any application is maximized, both the main taskbar and all UltraMon taskbars disable transparency. If there are no longer any maximized applications open, transparency gets enabled again for all taskbars.
Let me know if there are any special steps I need to take to reproduce the issue.

Thanks for getting back to me Christian. I've increased the processor priority for it the smart taskbar in the options and that seems to have made the difference and given me the transparency I was looking for.

Hi there,
I am using Ultramon 3.0 beta 1 and my extra taskbars don't have transparency. Tried making them different process priority and it didn't make a difference (do I need to restart ultramon?) I am using Vista Ultimate x64, with my primary task bar on the middle monitor, and two smart task bars on a monitor either side of my main monitor.

Forgot to mention, I have no windows maximised and the main (primary) Windows toolbar has transparency. Just not the smart ones.
Also, is it possible for you to make the "hover over thumbnail" in Aero work with Ultramon?

Ok, weird. I just restarted Ultramon, (probably the first time I've done that, ever (e.g. its normally started up with Windows) and the transparency is there. Too much load when Windows is booting up maybe? Never mind :)

Support for task preview will be considered for a later release.
One thing that can cause the UltraMon taskbars to lose transparency is running an application which disables desktop composition.
After closing the application, you would need to restart the Smart Taskbar to get back transparency. This issue should be fixed in the next release.

Hello.
Previously I was using Vista Ultimate RC2 and UltraMon worked fine. Now I'm on Home Premium and UltraMon's extra taskbar has lost its transparency. Buttons are also no longer bevel, and text is totally unreadable. Any idea?

Make sure you have version 2.7.1 or 3.0 Beta 1 installed, that should fix the problem.
