I am running UM 3.0 Beta 1 but the buttons are still missing if I use Areo. Aren't they supposed to be fixed? Also the swap monitor button does not work for IE7. Even in classic mode, the button is visible but does not work. Right clicking on the taskbar and choosing Move to Other Monitor only works from the UM task bar (IE7). From the Windows task bar it locks the IE7 window and I have to End Task it. All other programs seem to work but the button is invisible.

Read the release notes.
They state:
"Additional Vista compatibility work will be done for later beta releases. Support for the window buttons under Aero is planned for beta 2, a new version of mirroring for the 3rd beta. Please note that there is no guarantee that those features will work the same way as on Windows 2000/XP."

As a workaround for the IE issue, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security in IE and disable protected mode.
This issue should be fixed in the next release.

I disabled the protected mode and the buttons still doesn't appear.

The window buttons won't be visible if you are using the Aero theme, this should be fixed in the next release.
