Forums -> Multiple monitors -> I can see both monitors...but same thing

(Using Windows XP) - I've got a Radeon 9200 & two monitors. Monitor 1 is connected to the DVI slot and Monitor 2 is connected to the VGA slot.

Both are working and I see identical screens on them. What I'm wanting to see is different things on each monitor or be able to run the monitors together.

In my display settings, it only shows one monitor. If I click on the advanced tab I can see the ATI settings for each monitor.

The display settings don't show a 2 monitor setup.

How can I get dual displays out of this? What do I need to buy (specificallY)?

Thank you for any help.

ALL FIXED! It seems that I didn't have ATI CATALYST CONTROL CENTER completely installed.

So, here's what I had to do to did to make 2 monitors work with one Adapter card (ATI Radeon 9200 - 128mb).

1. You must remove... Uninstall the old ATI software in ADD/REMOVE

2. Went to the Windows XP download center and downloaded Net Framework 2.0 (The new ATI Control Center requires this before you can install & Launch ATI)

3. Went to www.support.ATI.com and downloaded ATI Catalyst Control Center

Rebooted and everything just worked! It was simple ... even for me.

Hope this info can help someone else.
