Hello,

is it possible to show a PDF file in a full-screen mode spread on two monitors (using Adobe Reader, or another PDF viewer)?
I can get it spread in a window, but once I choose full-screen view, it shows only on one monitor.

Hardware: laptop with Intel graphics card + external monitor/projector.

Why do I want it: made a presentation using Beamer, which is a 8:3 ratio file with presentation in one half and comments in another. Want, obviously, the former to the projector and latter to my laptop...

Thanks a lot.

That should be possible with a Maximize to Desktop hotkey, you can configure the hotkey under UltraMon Options > Hotkeys.

You could then use the hotkey after switching the PDF viewer to fullscreen mode.

Thanks for the tip, but it does not work: the full-screen opens only on one monitor and using "Maximize Window to Desktop" (via hotkey) actually places the view into a window, again on one monitor only.

Any more ideas?

Looks like this won't work with Adobe Reader 8, the window did get maximized to the desktop, but the actual document still was only on one monitor, with a horizontal scroll bar.

You could test how other PDF viewers handle this, this behavior is up to the application.
