Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Windows Media Player & other toolbars in 3.0.0 (3.0 Beta 1)

I am currently running 2 monitors (a CRT and a widescreen flatpanel) using a dual VGA output ATI X600 series card in Windows XP SP2. I am also running Windows Media Player 10 (11 really sucked so I switched back).

One of the new options for the beta is the ability to add toolbars to the secondary monitor. I have been able to successfully add Language Bar, Desktop manager (a Windows add-on), and Address Bar. I however, cannot add Quick Launch or Windows Media Player. Since Quick Launch is not in the list, I assume the code simply hasn't been written yet. WMP *is* in the code but it ignores the selection whenever I do click it. I've tried having the option enabled/disabled on the original start bar and alternated which monitor WMP was currently sitting on.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately Quick Launch and the WMP toolbar don't work with UltraMon.

As an alternative to Quick Launch, you could use True Launch Bar, which works fine with UltraMon.

BTW, does the Address toolbar work fine for you? I can add it, but can't enter any text in the box.

Is there anyway to get WMP to work with Ultramon or maybe another program to do it? I just really want to be able to switched the minimized toolbar to another screen seeing as when I play games with WMP running in the background it'll lag hardcore when the little slider pops up to show track title and such.

As far as I can tell that's not possible, but I don't know if there are any other apps which do this.

For example you also can't add the WMP toolbar to any other undocked toolbar.
