I have a Thinkpad T60 with an external 17" LCD connected to the VGA port of the port replicator (not the full dock w/the DVI and VGA connectors).
I have Windows XP and have UltraMon 2.7.1 running w/both monitors set to 1280X1024 resolution.
I have 2 issues. The first is that if I drag a window between the two monitors, it becomes blurry scrambled as a move it back and forth. If I minimize the window and bring it back up it is fine.
The other issue is that if I undock the laptop, then redock it, all dialogs will appear in the dead center between the two screens, so half the dialog appears on one monitor and half appears on the other. That combined with the problem I mentioned above (can't drag the window to the other screen) makes for an adventure. I am forced to re-launch my "Docked" profile shortcut for Ultramon, and then reboot before it works correctly.
Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Thanks, Cole

Does this happen with all applications, and both normal and maximized windows?
For example do you also see this problem when dragging Calculator (from Start Menu > Programs > Accessories) to the other monitor?
I'm not sure what would cause the docking issue, for further troubleshooting please post the system information from UltraMon menu > About when this happens the next time.

Yes it happens with any window, inc. the calculator. It even will happen with a dialog from an application, such as a new mail popup window.
Here's the info from my about window.
2 monitors Current desktop: 2560x1024 (0,0 - 2560,1024)
Monitor 1 - Plug and Play Monitor (primary): Settings: 1280x1024, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 0,0 - 1280,1024. Workspace: 0,0 - 1280,990 Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 Device: \\.\DISPLAY1\Monitor0
Monitor 2 - Plug and Play Monitor (removable): Settings: 1280x1024, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate Coordinates: 1280,0 - 2560,1024. Workspace: 1280,0 - 2560,990 Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 Device: \\.\DISPLAY2\Monitor2
Thanks!!

The drag window issue sounds like a display driver issue, to verify that the issue isn't related to UltraMon, try if you still have the problem without UltraMon running or installed.
The issue with docking sounds like Windows only sees a single large monitor after docking instead of the two monitors, but according to the system information that's not the case.
Might be a display driver issue as well, I'm not sure about this though. Installing the latest drivers for the video chipset would certainly be worth a try though.
Something else you could try: disable the secondary monitor before undocking the system.

Thanks, I'll give those ideas a try. I didn't think it was an UltraMon problem per se, that's why I didn't post it in the UltraMon forum initially.
Thanks for your help!!

Thanks, that did help. I updated to the latest drivers from Lenovo and the issue dragging the windows is gone. The other issue still remains however, where the dialogs on windows appear spanned between my flat panel and the LCD on the T60.
I'll try disabling the secondary monitor, before undocking, but more often than not the issue happens when I just boot it undocked first, like when I'm using it at home, and then when I come back into the office, I have to boot it up, launch my docked profile, then reboot the machine for the dialogs to be on one monitor or the other.
