Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Smart Taskbar height problem (in 2.7.1 and half-fixed in 3.0 Beta 1)

I just started using Ultramon, and man do I wish I found it a long time ago! It does exactly what I wish XP did for multiple monitor setups.

Anyway, there's just one minor but very important usability problem I've run into. I am running XP SP2, with the Windows Classic theme. The Smart Taskbar is for some reason two pixels taller than the Windows taskbar (screenshot) This by itself would not be such a big hangup, but the bottom two pixels are unclickable, making the taskbar a pain to use.

So I installed 3.0 Beta 1 to see if this issue was fixed, and it partially is. The taskbar is now the right height, however the bottom row of pixels is still unclickable! This is a big deal because just throwing your cursor to the bottom of the screen and clicking is much easier than having to make sure you are at least 1 pixel above the edge.

Another user reported the same problem, but I've never been able to reproduce the issue.

When clicking the bottom of the Windows taskbar, the button above the mouse pointer also doesn't get pressed.

I tested on XP SP2 with the classic style and default settings for fonts etc, and regular fonts (96 DPI).

If you are using custom settings which might change this behavior, let me know and I'll look into it.
