I have been using ultramon at work for ages and I love it. v.2.7.1
However when i installed it at home it had some weird effects. I couldnt get the smart task bar to work properly, it just sat above the number start bar on the primary monitor. The next time i restarted the computer it went to VGA mode. THe only way to fix this was to uninstall ultramon and reinstall nvidia drivers. I tried a few versions of nvidia drivers and had the same problem.
Please help because Id love to use this program at home.
Graphics card is a 6800 128mb ASUS. Primary monitor dell 2407wfp DVI and a samsung analogue 19" on VGA for secondary.
Cheers

This seems to be a compatibility issue with UltraMon's mirroring feature and some video card driver versions, removing the mirroring feature will fix the problem.
To do this, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon from the list, click on Change, then deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen.
I'm not sure what would cause the Smart Taskbar issue, let me know if it still doesn't work after removing the mirroring feature.

Awesome thats done the trick!
One other thing. In WMP the two buttons added to the top look really odd. In XP WMP is now free of the standard top of program blue bar ( i think its vista style) so it looks off with two buttons pasted on top.
Hopes this make sense!

As a workaround, you could disable the buttons for WMP, to do this go to UltraMon Options > Window Title Bar and add wmplayer.exe to the list of excluded applications.
