I have just installed the following video card, "Nvidia TNT2 16MB M64 PCI", in the hope that I can use dual monitors.
The problem is, when trying to find a driver for the video card, it says "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software."
I think this means that the video card isn't properly installed. Alsoin device manager there is a ? next to the video card.
I have tried downloading this driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_61.77.html It says it is for the TNT2 cards. But it hasn't helped.
Is there a different driver I need to download? Suggestions would be much appreciated.
My computer specs are here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/generic...=reg_R1002_UKEN
My other video card is a NVDIA GeForce4 MX 440.
Thanks.

After you downloaded that driver, what did you do with it? Did you double click it to run and install it?
That download is for Win XP or Win 2K. You're using one of those OS, right?

Yes, I am on Windows XP. I opened the installer and installed it.

Sorry about the delay in responding. The lack of email notification in this forum to alert users that someone posted a message sucks.
Actually, I believe you should not even need to download that driver you posted. Why? Because both your cards can use the same driver. What driver version are you using with your MX440 card?
I think your problem may be that you need to access your BIOS and set PCI as the primary video display. Do you have any documentation on your motherboard, including BIOS settings?
