Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Laptop display + CRT monitor, how to switch primary

Hi there,
I've been racking my brain about this issue for a long time and I've decided to post here to see if anyone has some input.

My setup currently:
- Laptop display
- CRT connected via VGA
- GeForce Go 7600

What I am trying to do is have my external display be the primary one, the one containing the system tray. However, wherever I look it seems to be unavailable/greyed out.

Ultramon menu:

Display properties (Laptop display):

Display properties (CRT monitor):

Nothing seems to work.
If anyone has some insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

You should still be able to change the primary monitor via the Nvidia software, or a function key on the laptop if available (Fn+F8 on my Dell).
