Forums -> UltraMon™ -> 3rd monitor not showing up in display properties

I have a primary video card, eVGA GeForce 7300 GS, running 2 Samsung 191Ts. I want to add a third monitor and I bought a eVGA GeForce 6200 to put into a open PCI slot. It installed and it supposedly working correctly according to WinXP's device manager. But I cannot see the third monitor in the Windows display properties or in UltraMon's display settings. Both display adapters are using the same IRQ 16, but the device manager shows no conflicts?

I'm not sure what would cause this, did you try enabling the monitor via the Nvidia software?

It doesn't show up in their software either.

My guess would be that it's a hardware issue, make sure the monitor cable is connected properly to the monitor and video card, and that the monitor is turned on before you start the system.

Check the monitor menu settings to manually specify/select/save input cable/connection type. If 2 (of 3) monitors are set to DVI-D and 1 monitor is set to Auto-detect, on subsequent XP boot/startup the auto detection feature will not calibrate correctly and you may see desktop on only 2 (of 3) screens, 1 remaining black. Forcing in video crad software does reactivate the 3rd monitor/desktop, but on reboot it will again not calibrate. Must have all 3 monitor-cable inputs match cable type.
