I'm using Ultramon 3.0b2 with XP SP2 32-bit. My second monitor has a smart taskbar, and I have placed the Windows Desktop Search there.
Everything looks OK on first glance, but the system doesn't respond properly when I try to type something in the searchbox. It works fine on the main monitor.
Is this a known bug?

I've seen this as well, also happens with a couple of other toolbars which accept text input. I'm going to look into this for a later release.

I too experienced this problem with UltraMon 3.0.2 (3.0 Beta 2.1),
I have found that you can paste into the search field and it will work, but it does not allow typing into it directly.

I have a customer who has to uninstall Desktop Search to get his Outlook to work after they did a search in Outlook, could this be caused by UltraMon?
I see in Outlook that thereĀ“s an addin loaded in Outlook with UltraMon.

Jim

Seems unlikely, but you could try if you still have the problem if UltraMon isn't running.
UltraMon doesn't have an Outlook plug-in, but for some features a hook will get installed in the Outlook process.
