I have ultramon on my machine at work "Vista Ultimate" and I remote desktop from Windows XP Pro at home to work. The problem is when I first connect the machine takes about 60 seconds as either windows or ultramon attempts to move all of the icons that are on secondary monitor over to the taskbar on the primary but leaves the actual windows on the secondary.
I can't ever get to the other windows unless I close them first.
Now this isn't so horrid but when I get home and login my task bar at bottom gets a "busy animation" icon and for a good 2 mins I cant touch it. When it is done it works fine but the extended ultramon bar on 2nd monitor is gone and only way I found to bring it back is to restart ultramon.
Is this something fixable on either remote desktop or ultramon? I wish remote desktop would use dual monitor if both machines have dual monitor as both my systems are dual monitor.

I'm not sure what would cause this, works fine for me with 3.0 Beta 2.1. If you haven't installed the latest version yet, I would recommend upgrading UltraMon.
The first issue is probably a Windows issue, moving windows to the primary monitor is handled by the operating system.
As far as I know Remote Desktop can only access the primary monitor.

I am getting the same problem and i am using 3.0.2 beta 2.1. After i connect from home when i come into the office the next day all my apps appear on the main monitor but when launched go to the correct monitor. i have to go into smart taskbar, choose mirror, OK then go back in and choose standard.

lenny, is the application on the secondary monitor, but the task button for the application is on the primary monitor?
