If I have acrobat 8.1 maximized and I hit the "move window" button to take it to the other monitor, acrobat crashes. I can manually move it over or move it over while not maximized and it won't crash. Is this a known issue?
Running Vista business and beta 2.1 on an optiplex 755 with identical 19 lcds.
Thanks!

Do you have the same problem if you right-click the application's title bar and move the window via the UltraMon menu commands?

I have a similar issue, Acrobat (8.1.1) crashes when I move a maximized window to the other monitor. No problems so far if the window isn't maximized. If I right-click the application's title bar I don't get the Ultramon options.

I just tried upgrading to 3.0 beta - same problem. But then opened Ultramon options, went to the Compatability tab (not in 2.7), clicked the configure settings button, and selected Acrobat 8.1. After clicking the next button, I put a check in the "use alternative method to move maximized window" checkbox. Now I'm able to move maximized pdf's. They don't move quite as smoothly as the other windows, but it seems to be working.

Which version of UltraMon and Windows are you using?
Works fine for me with Reader X and UltraMon 3.1.0 on 64-bit Windows 7.

UltraMon is stable with Adobe Reader X and Windows 7 64-bit. However, the window move and stretch buttons don't show up on the Reader X window. What does work is to define UltraMon hotkeys to get Reader X to switch monitors.

David, there's a fix for this, go to UltraMon Options > Compatibility, configure settings for Adobe Reader then check the option 'use alternative method to add window buttons'.

Thanks.
The customization for Reader X worked as you suggested.
A future feature change that I would like to see is the subtlety of the Switch Monitor button to change the direction it points as the window moves from monitor to monitor. I realize that a four monitor setup would make that interesting.
UltraMon is definitely the utility Microsoft forgot to build in, and is quite handy for me.
Bye.

UltraMon will show a monitor selection screen if the system has more than 2 monitors, see Window management for a screenshot.
