Running Vista Ultimate fully patched. This problem has only occurred over the past week or so. Periodically the sidebar will freeze or hang for a long time (mouse pointer will stay as it was in prior application, and won't do anything on the sidebar). Sometimes I get little taskbar icons that are almost blank, don't have any pop-up text or image, don't bring up a context menu, etc. When I close BOTH ultramon and sidebar, the taskbar icons go away and I can reopen both apps for awhile before they act up again. I've put a bunch of new stuff on my system, so it's a possible conflict: clamwin, two Microsoft gadgets on the sidebar (calendar and clock, added to woot, applauncher 3.x, and stocks), OpenOffice, a couple of business apps, and (yuk) the driver and software that came with my Epson 9400fax AIO device. I'd like to keep both sidebar and ultramon up, so any thoughts would help. TIA

You can still get phantom task buttons with 3.0.2 under some circumstances, usually when an application or the system becomes unresponsive temporarily. I'll look into this for the next release.
So far I've seen no problems with the Sidebar, does the Sidebar become responsive again if you close UltraMon?

Following up - I just installed Vista SP1 (ultimate, 32-bit). No change in sidebar/multimon interaction problems or phantom buttons. Re sidebar/multimon, I end up shutting one of them down and restarting it when it occurs, after which it seems to be fine. Thought you'd want to know that Vista SP1 made no difference.
Still couldn't live with out ultramon. Keep it up.
