I know many people are aware that for some ridiculous reason, if you use UltraMon to put different wallpapers on each monitor, you are running Vista with transparency on, and your secondary monitor is to the left of your primary monitor, the taskbar on the primary monitor is half transparent and half gray.
So Christian has pointed out that this is a problem with Vista and there is nothing he can do. I know what can be done and I'm not sure why it hasn't been implemented.
If you use the above setup and your primary wallpaper is black, you don't notice the problem. So why can't there be an option in UltraMon that creates a taskbar-sized black bar at the bottom of the screen (underneath the taskbar, but over the wallpaper). The taskbar wouldn't look transparent, but it would be solid black without having to sacrifice the other Vista transparency. Couldn't it be done?

That might work, thanks for the suggestion. I'll consider this for a future release.

I overcame this problem (or a similar one) by changing the x position of my second monitor to be +26?
Monitor config Primary monitor dell e207W 1680x1050 Secondary monitor dell e173fp 1280x1024 (left of screen)
Is this due to the difference in x resolutions in the monitors causing this issue?
ie 1050 - 1024 = 26?

I'm not sure why this would work for you, but it doesn't for me, as long as I have a monitor to the left of the primary the wrong background is shown behind the taskbars.
