I have been running two pointing devices for a long time. I know that Win 98 and Win2000Pro support the feature. I don't use mice. I don't understand why anyone would. I use a Logitech Trackman Marble Wheel (USB) on the right side of my keyboard and a Logitech Marble Mouse (PS2) (which is not a mouse) on the left side of my keyboard.

The Logitech software has great support for multiple pointing devices. The Windows support is okay, too.

They both work all of the time. If you roll one up and one over, the pointer goes diagonally. If you roll one up and one down, the pointer jitters. You get the idea. I love having multiple pointing devices. I use the left one when I work and the right one when I surf the Web.
