I am using UltraMon beta on x64 of Windows Server 2008, which for everything else seems identical to Vista x64 (even device drivers).

One problem with it, setting a Wallpaper JPG on a dual monitor system resets the Aero Theme to Vista standard, so you don't have Aero effects any more.

As I recall I went to the beta because the regular had other issues.

Is there a workaround to this?

I don't know what would cause this, and also can't reproduce this issue. After changing wallpapers via UltraMon, Aero with transparency etc is still enabled on my system (64-bit Server 2008 RTM).

Does full Aero support exist, for example can you hold down the Winodws key and press tab and see the 3-D scrolling of all open windows? And does the Theme still say Aero?

Yes, Flip3D still works fine, and under appearance settings the color scheme is Windows Aero.

Hmm. I went back today and could not get it to break - which is I guess a good thing ;-)

Seems to be working now! Thanks for your help...
