This is the first time I have experienced this problem. I am going to try to reproduce the situation again, but I figured I would say how I got here.
1. I plugged in my external monitor and other devices while computer was in standby/suspend 2. I resumed from standby in windows vista 64 (running 64 bit version of ultramon) 3. Ultramon (for some reason, may have been intentionally, I am not sure) was not running. 4. Since Ultramon was not running, windows asked me what I wanted to do with the second monitor -- I cancelled out of the prompt (which defaults it to clone). 5. I started ultramon 6. No window is properly responding to the move to other window command IFF (if and only if) it is on the PRIMARY monitor.
My setup has the external (which is recognized as monitor number 2) as primary, and my laptop monitor (which is recognized as monitor number 1) as secondary.
When I click either the window button to move it to the other monitor, or use the right-click function, it just flashes in place, and grows to the size of the monitor minus the normally docked googledesktop (that would be on the secondary monitor). NOTE:: it does not maximize, it just increases in size.
Note further -- the functionality still works as expected when i use either the button or right-click menu if it is on the SECONDARY (monitor number 1 - laptop) monitor. but after it switches over, i cannot get it to go back without dragging it manually.
It should also be noted that I am experiencing this error without any known windows update or anything else, but in case I did unwittingly update, the date is 04-30-2008.
If my explanation is not good enough to let you know what I mean, please either just respond to the forum (Although it might be a while between checks of the site), or email me at MARINEBIO72 (@T) COMCAST (D0T) NET

it should also be noted that this behavior persists after ending the ultramon task and turning it back on. I am going to restart to see if that fixes it, and will reply again to this issue.

a clean restart has fixed the problem. I will attempt the next time I have time to see if i can reproduce it following the steps I took.

I'm not sure what would cause this. If you see this again, go to UltraMon menu > About and make a copy of the system information, this might help with troubleshooting.

Well, a similar thing is happening again. I attach my system information. Now I can use the move to other monitor to send ONLY from monitor 1 (which is set to secondary) to monitor 2 (set as primary). If I try to send from monitor 2 to 1 (primary to secondary), it flashes in place, maximizes to the full size of the screen (but not MAXIMIZED), hops to the top of the primary (mon 2) screen, where I cannot drag it. In order to regain control of the window, I must right click and adjust the size or click move to move it.

Thanks for the information. I tried to reproduce this issue with a similar display configuration, but so far this worked without problems for me.
I tested on 64-bit Vista with UltraMon 3.0.2.
Does About UltraMon show the same system information after you reboot the system, and does a reboot fix the problem?
