Is it possible to have a single pci card and a single pci-e card running together supporting 3-4 lcd's??

My current pc uses agp and pci so i'm
thinking of buying dell xps 420(X38 chipset) but it only has one pci-e slot, Would it make a difference for 2D work such as trading( direct access system0, web conferencing, chat, if use secong card in pci slot(same chipset)

In general this should work fine, but I did have problems with some video cards, for example mixing PCIe and PCI ATI FireMV cards didn't work for me under Vista.

I'm thinking the pci card needs to support vista and have directx 10.0 or at least i'm hoping..
Xps 420 comes w/ 2400 HD 128mb standard, maybe a pci 2400 HD card would work.....
