Whats up everyone. I've got a minor annoyance when shutting off my secondary monitor. When I shut it off using ultramon to play games, the 2d on the primary monitor becomes very sluggish. For example, the menus become very slow to react, and the transpanency effects seem as if they run at 5 fps (very jerky). Now when I turn the secondary display back on, the performancece doesn't return to what it was (fluid transparent animations, no jerkiness anywhere). Anyone else experience this problem or is it just me? Thanks for reading.
Specs:
AMD 1.4 on abit KG7
512 ddr ram
win xp
video 1: geforce2 gts using 21.88
video 2: ATI Xpert 128 using latest drivers

I found the solution. The menu shadows were causing the slowdown, so disabling those fixed it. It seemed to speed the GUI up though so maybe some of you should try it. Later.
