My huge hang up with dual monitors is that new windows seem to open up wherever they feel like (sometimes based on where they last were, but sometimes in random positions on random monitors).

I'd love to see an option that forces all new windows to open up on the monitor where my mouse pointer is. That way if I'm using an application and quickly need to open Explorer (winkey+E), I don't have to shift my focus away from the active monitor.

Sometimes reminder windows will pop up randomly without user intervention, so it would be helpful to have additional options to have exceptions (like don't do it on toolbar windows, or use the applications listing like on the Window Menu tab).

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to look into this for a future release.

This probably wouldn't work with all applications though, for example games or other fullscreen applications usually can't be moved by UltraMon.

Thanks for replying. I notice your reply to most threads, so I don't know how serious you are :), but..

Definitely, games could be on the exception list, or if UltraMon failed to move the window, it should gracefully fail (and not have any sort of side effects--like an alert box saying it failed).

I was thinking that the "active monitor" could actually be the monitor where the keyboard cursor is blinking. It would be great to have a user option to say which to use as a priority -- either the mouse cursor or the blinking keyboard cursor. In case the mouse is on 1 screen, and the keyboard cursor is on another and someone does WinKey+E.

Thanks again!
