I am using Windows XP. My primary monitor is a Hewlett Packard Widescreen with a resolution of 1050x1680 (pivot mode) and a Dell monitor at 1600x1200. While the computer is running and I am away from my desk, the primary monitor is switched to the Dell with the taskbar and all the programs that were on the HP monitor moved over to the Dell. The resolution is also switched with the HP going to a 1600x1200 resolution; sometimes the Dell is switched to 1050x1680 and sometimes not. My graphics card is a ATI Radeon 1650 Pro. I can usually switch everything back, but this is a PIA. Another frustration is that while making adjustments to the "Display" in control panel, it will stop allowing me access. I have tried
running "desk.cpl" from the command line, but
nothing come up. I have to reboot to regain access.
