Windows XP sp2 nVidia 1700 now other nVidia earlier. 2 NEC LCD 2010 and NEC LCD 2010x monitors. Unltramon 3.0.2
It used to be that smart taskbar worked (at least thats what I thought it was called) in that each taskbar was independent and only showed the app which was opened on each monitor. With this machine switching smart taskbar on or off seems to make no difference - there is only one taskbar and it shows all apps in the conventional manner.
What do I do? Thanks

Never mind, I found and fixed it.

No, I didn't fix it. What I had done was to enable the secondary monitor. That seemed to enable the smart taskbar, but it showed the same background on both monitors instead of stretching one picture across both. Oh well...

OK, this time I did fix it. I enabled the secondary monitor and then stretched the background across both monitors. The smart taskbar works. The only problem is that Thunderbird no longer indicates when a new message is unread. That may be totally unrelated - who knows? It might also be related to the installation of "Second Nature".
