I like having a hot key (ctrl-w) to move apps from one monitor to the next. However, this doesn't work well when playing games :)
Is there a way to disable hot keys for certain apps?

That's not supported, I also don't think that this is possible.
I would recommend using a different key combination, for example CTRL+ALT+W or something similar.
