I have a new laptop (Dell M4300) and I just upgraded to XP SP3. This never happened on my old laptop (Dell D810 XP w/SP2)
The problem: After undocking and going home and using my computer. Sometimes when I come back to work and redock it forgets the position of my secondary monitor (Dell 24").
I use mine in a top/bottom manner so my laptop display is primary and my 24" is secondary and located above it. When I move the mouse up, it should go to the top monitor. Instead, it will take the default position to the right of my primary monitor.
I go to Display Properties and move the secondary monitor above my primary and then hit apply, and all my icons/primary task bar all move to the secondary monitor. Arg....
I verify the secondary monitor is still setup as secondary in Display Properties. In order to fix this, I have to force the secondary monitor to primary, and then re-enable the actual primary while manually restoring my icon positions using ultramon.
This used to never happen on the old laptop running XPSP2 so I am not sure if its the new video card or SP3. Something is broken here.

Might be a Windows or video card issue, this isn't handled by UltraMon.
As a workaround, you could set up an UltraMon display profile and configure the profile to get applied automatically at login. To do this, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray and select Display Profiles from the menu.
