I'm having absolutely zero success in controlling which monitor Firefox 3 opens on.
I've set the preferences through the properties tab as advised on this forum, but it didn't have any effect on Firefox's behavior. It continues to open on the wrong monitor.
I'm using Vista Server 64bit.

Are you opening multiple instances of Firefox? UltraMon can only position the first instance, this is due to how Firefox handles multiple instances.

Also, are you leaving Firefox maximized when you shut it down? Windows does not seem to remember things like which monitor a program was moved to if that program's window is maximized. I found that if I restored the Firefox window to a smaller size and then moved it to the desired screen, then the program alsways opened on the correct screen.

I too have just begun having problems with firefox and having it launch on monitor 2. However, I'm running 2.0.0.16 of firefox (FF).
Internet Explorer, which I've also setup the same way, DOES launch to monitor 2 correctly.
This problem just began a few days ago, after I noticed that FF said it had automatically performed an update. I've un-installed and reinstalled ultramon but it still will not launch to the monitor I request.
Also, when this did work, I used to have problems with it minimizing itself after launch. But I found that subsequent launches (multiple instances of FF) would launch correctly and onto the 2nd monitor.
Must be something in the new release of FF that disagrees with UM.
It seems also that an uninstall does NOT remove everything, since after the re-install, the properties for FF still had the same ultra-mon settings that it had before.
Is there a way to clean up Ultra Mon and completely remove everything so I can try a truly clean re-install?

UltraMon doesn't remove user settings or files (wallpapers, etc), you would need to remove those manually.
This isn't a configuration issue though, removing your settings won't fix the problem.
