Based on feedback to this forum and my own personal trials I think there quite a number of bug issues with ULTRAMON that have not been addressed.
I currently have Dll 1720 with NVIDIA 8600M GT Card. The main thing I need is to move maximized windows between screens.
What I find is the sometimes the Window switcher does not appear in the DIalog Header bar and sometimes it is positioned on the left side.
I believe you have a big market given current trends and the pulling of NVIDIA NVIEW.
As there have been no updates to this software however I am not confident to purchase and need some assurance of your dedication to resolving these types of issues.

The issue with the window button position should be fixed in the next release, 3.0 Beta 3. Should be ready later this quarter.

Another issue is if you play games that change the resolution UltraMon regularly causes the primary display to default back to the lowest resolution. Drives me nuts. UltraMon definately has merit and other than the issues with res switching I like it a lot.

Kevin, my guess would be that this isn't related to UltraMon, please check if you still have the problem without UltraMon running or installed.

I uninstalled UltraMon and problem went away. Re-installed it and problem is back. It's interesting as resolution issue only happens to one monitor. Sometimes it's the primary and sometimes the secondary.

If you're not using Vista, you could try if removing the mirroring feature fixes the problem.
To do this, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon from the list, click on Change, then deselect the mirroring feature on the Customize Installation screen. You'll need to reboot for the change to take effect.

Unfortunately I don't know what else might cause this, also haven't seen this myself so far.
If you want to do further troubleshooting, you could disable select UltraMon features, for example the Smart Taskbar or window buttons, and check if the problem goes away.
I would also recommend installing the latest drivers for your video card if you haven't done this already.
